GLASSES - MADE IN SWITZERLAND

The Dimension and Perspective collections represent a complete redesign of traditional eyeglass products and are packed full of innovation and optimization.

The company’s own workshop enables immediate realization of new ideas and ongoing research into new materials and improved manufacturing processes. In addition, local partnerships mean that distances traveled for production are short and efficient – a high degree of flexibility and independent, local manufacturing true to Swiss quality standards. Glasses made in Switzerland.

ACETATE FRAMES - EXPERT HAND POLISHING

Our acetate glasses are known for their superior comfort, balanced design language, and incomparable hand polish. Götti develops the colours for its high-end acetate in conjunction with an Italian acetate manufacturer steeped in tradition. The frames have been produced by selected factories in Germany and Austria since 1998.

Material – Acetate is a hypoallergenic plant-based material. The base component is cotton, a renewable resource. It is light, holds its shape, and offers virtually unlimited colour nuances - the acetate sheets are manufactured exclusively for Götti in Italy.

Production – The subsequent production stages occur in close collaboration with our factories in Germany and Austria. As a first step a computer-controlled machine mills the acetate sheets. After numerous finishing stages the single frame components are polished for several days in a wooden drum, which lends a gleaming shimmer and soft edges. A total of over 200 work steps are necessary before the glasses are ready for final polishing.

Hand Polished By – A unique characteristic of every Götti acetate frame is the masterly hand polishing. It requires great attention to detail, experience, and skill. Our polishing artists’ names are Barbara, Brigitte, Ludmilla, Renate, and Waltraud - with their passion and enthusiasm they coax life into the colours and facettes. That’s why we engrave the polisher’s name in every frame as a personal seal of quality.

DESIGNER - SVEN GÖTTI

“For me, designing glasses is a fascinating and challenging labour of love I gladly devote my experience to. Designing glasses challenges me equally on an aesthetic and mechanical level.”

A pair of glasses always consists of the same three components: two temples and a front piece with two lenses. However, it’s in our nature as humans to develop countless variants of this over time. I am glad to be a part of this never-ending universe of eyeglasses. When I developed my first pair of glasses over 25 years ago, it was the beginning of a passion that continues to inspire me to this day. The aesthetics, zeitgeist, materials, fine mechanical solutions, and lately also the possibilities of 3-D printing – these are all part of the formula for making beautiful glasses.
